How do I download extra content to my sims 2 game?

Perhaps you do not have the expansion packs required for the download or you did not download the meshes. I suggest you download a sims2pack file so you only need to move it in Downloads folder under Sims 2 and install it to use it in game. With a sims2pack file you do not need to extract and all that.
